Discover Scuba Diving is a fantastic way to experience scuba diving for the first time.
Your dives are done out at the spectacular Cook Island Marine Reserve where you will see plenty of sub-tropical fish including clown fish, lion fish, blue grouper, eagle rays, starfish the occasional manta ray swimming through lots of soft and hard coral gardens plus the resident Green Sea Turtles and much much more!!
With the Discover Scuba Diving adventure you will be shown the equipment and how it all works as well as some of the skills required for scuba diving. Your personal Dive Instructor will have you diving with the turtles in no time, we take two Discover Scuba Diving Students ONLY per Dive Instructor, the small numbers ensures your safety at all times.
This experience takes around 3-4 hours with the Dive lasting for upto 40 min and once you have completed this you can go for a snorkel at no extra charge!
Included In Price
Included in the price is all your gear hire (wetsuits/bcd/regs/tanks etc etc) everything that you will need to complete this dive, the boat trip, your personal instructor and morning tea
(tea,coffee,biscuits,donuts,fruit) if customers want to buy a soft drink, bottled water or a packet of chips they are $2 ea.

Participant Guidelines
Prepare for sea sickness if it affects you, visit your chemist prior to your trip. We recommend Travelcalm originals or Kwells. Don't let sea sickness ruin your experience - be prepared. If you have a history of car sickness you may be affected by sea sickness. The boat works on Queensland time, no refund for those who miss the boat. Suitable only for those over 12 years.
This is not suitable for people with some medical issues there is a Medical Waiver which must be filled out before participation in this activity, if you don't pass the medical waiver you must go see a doctor if you wish to continue.
Some things that are an issue but not limited to are asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions.
There is no refund for those who cannot complete the dive due to: sea sickness, cannot equalise their ears or just can't do the dive due to other circumstances that are not the fault of Snorkel Safari Gold Coast
24 hr cancellation policy. if cancelled within 24 hr there is NO REFUND!!

Session Length
3-4 hours
Numbers on the day
Two discover scuba students per instructor - numbers on the boat could be 46 snorkellers or 24 divers.
Weather Exceptions
If the weather is bad or the sea is too rough the trip will be cancelled and you will be re-scheduled to a better day, if we cannot get you out due to bad weather then you will receive a full refund via the ticketing agency that you have used to book your dive.
